Thanks for the additional compliments Geoff. Your point on backing it up with substance definitely is key - and works well as a general marketing/expectation setting principle too. Just think of the movies you've seen in the past year where the trailer got you to attend only to reveal that the trailer covered the best parts of the movie and you just wasted $10. I think any time you can create an opportunity to organically accelerate the engagement and building of relationships can be a great investment. Participating in a brand's community in social media is just that type of opportunity. Here's to hoping 2009 becomes the year that many more brands discover this.

Thanks, David. I would add that my analysis of Radian6's work is somewhat incomplete here in that you have an outstanding product (full discosure: I use Rqadian6) and great content so your effort worked. I think with the NetSol video conference we had good content so it worked. Point being with substance behind you, brand affiliation can hasten word of mouth.

Hey there Geoff, thanks for the affiliation strategy kudos on the Twebinar program. You also deserve props for the work you did with Network Solutions on the Solution Stars event as it had great affiliation work in action.

Having Chris agree to head up the Twebinar series was a total honor for us and then to have so many great folks decide to be interviewed by him and then used in the series was also very cool. While I would have loved to have had Jim directly signed to shoot the video for the series a colleague of his actually was the one that partially shot it. But Jim was great to have around to give us lots of pointers and tips - and it was mucho appreciated.
