I like the opportunity to touch base and see how they can help me...and how I can help them. Good PR in general needs to take a cue from "social media" -- it's all about the SOCIAL and the NETWORKING aspect. The relationship is more important than the pitch itself. At least, that's my experience. At least when I get pitched, I know it's not from a list.
