Really interesting, Dave! Another cool example is he Academy Awards.

http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/oscar-backstage-pass/id411784735?ls=1&mt=8

Like last year, they're releasing an app for viewers to access behind-the-scenes footage and tidbits. I think it was ahead of its time last year. But, I think the time is ripe this year.

We'll see what the numbers say, post oscar night!

I like this article. As you know, I have always thought you were exceptionally gifted in the naming arena. And I thought this was cute. I had a friend name her daugter Ysabel the other day...that poor child will have to spell her name her entire life (as a former Eidson and a Beaulieu, I can certainly relate to how annoying that is).

Congrats again on becoming a grandam, and all the best.

One of the things that sets apart Pinterest from other sharing sites like http://www.delicious.com/ is the up-front gamifying of content aggregation. The subtle layout of the pins emphasizes the featured image and other users' comments front and center. With this setup, users are motivated to get the "best" pins. What a great system to aggregate good content while encourage user interaction!

Thanks for all the insightful comments. I haven't been able to look at Cupcake wines the same way since I got wind of their mass production methods (I'm picky like that), but I do admire their marketing savvy!
